Welcome to the Pacific Highway Upgrade website for the Woolgoolga to Wells Crossing project.

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has selected the preferred route for the upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Woolgoolga and Wells Crossing.

The proposed 27km dual carriageway upgrade between Woolgoolga and Wells Crossing would significantly improve safety on this section of the Pacific Highway. Planning for the project is being funded by the NSW State Government as part of the $2.2 billion Pacific Highway upgrade program.

Following the display of the preferred route in August 2006, the concept design for the upgrade has been developed and is now on display for community comment until Friday 23 May 2008. The concept design includes refinements to the alignment following consultation with stakeholders, property owners and comments received since the display of the preferred route.
