The development of strong and effective public sector institutions, with high levels of transparency and accountability, is fundamental to achieving good governance. The objective of public sector reform is to ensure that public institutions function effectively and efficiently, promoting economic development through improved policies and systems and, by developing the capacity of public servants to implement them.
Over the last five years, GHD has grown its capacity to provide a range of services in the sector including: policy development and coordination; fiscal management reforms; human resources management and development; institutional change management; corporatisation/privatisation; gender mainstreaming; public utility management.
