Terrestrial Sciences

|  Overview   |  Services   |

GHD’s Terrestrial Sciences team is able to provide specialist biological, zoological, botanical, ecological and habitat assessment services.

Our team works closely with local councils, state, territory and federal government departments, law firms, property developers and corporations involved in major infrastructure projects (such as dams, wind farms, mining and energy provision), to provide ecologically sustainable development while retaining a solution-based approach.

Our projects are diverse in focus and scale – ranging from preparation of Adaptive Response Management Plans for endangered flora and fauna, and habitat mapping of internationally protected migratory birds, to identification of and reporting on protected ecological elements for local development.

As well as our extensive in-house experience, our terrestrial ecologists have established, widespread networks with specialist botanical and zoological subconsultants with years of local experience.

We also work closely with many other GHD services to provide ecological assessment, as part of an overall integrated environmental assessment.
