EIA & Approvals

|  Overview   |

Environmental assessment and approvals management are fundamental to any project's success – to both minimise risk and maximise outcomes.

Impact assessment, whether through a formal Environmental Impact Assessment, Review of Environmental Factors, Initial Advice Statement or other mechanisms, has become a central element of development approvals internationally.

The challenge of meeting the requirements of more stringent legislation and maturing community expectations requires more emphasis on targeted assessment and integrated approvals management. GHD recognises the need for 'getting it right first time' to minimise what can be lengthy review and approval processes.

GHD's Environmental Assessment teams are focused on the delivery of projects that meet these objectives.

Whether meeting specific local, state or federal requirements, or adopting international benchmark standards (such as the World Bank Guidelines or the Equator Principals), GHD provides technical outcomes to satisfy approval agencies' requirements and address community considerations.
